WHAT IS HOMOEOPATHY?
Homoeopathy is fast becoming the preferred mode of treatment around the world, as a holistic approach to maintaining health and well-being. Homoeopathy is a complete therapeutic system of medicine developed by a German physician and chemist, Dr Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843). Homoeopathy is based on the observation that a substance, when taken by a healthy person, is capable of producing a particular array of symptoms. According to Homoeopathic Philosophy a substance so tested can be used to treat someone suffering from a disease or condition that presents with symptoms similar to those produced by that substance. This is the Homoeopathic Law of Similars, also expressed as “Let Likes be Cured by Likes”. The word homoeopathy is derived from the Greek words “homoios”, meaning like and “pathos”, meaning suffering.

CONDITIONS TREATED
Homoeopathy is a complete medical science with which any medical illness or underlying condition in any human being of any age can be treated. Homoeopathy, by its mechanism of action, has the ability to stimulate the repair of any damage which the body has the potential to heal, restoring the balance and mechanisms involved in recovery and health.

WHAT ARE THE REMEDIES?
Homoeopathic remedies are made from plants, minerals, chemicals and animal material. These substances are prepared according to the processes described in the Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia Manual.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?
Since homoeopathic remedies act as a catalyst to stimulate the body’s ability to heal itself, different reactions can occur depending on the sensitivity of the person, the nature of the disease and the potency (strength) of the remedy. Homoeopathic remedies may cause initial aggravation of the symptoms before improvement. These reactions vary from person to person. If your symptoms persist or do not improve, we recommend that you contact your Health Care or Medical Practitioner.
